Fuyuka Shindo is a research-driven artist whose practice explores unseen dynamics, histories, and phenomena shaped by social and global structures. Encounters with these forces often generate feelings of uncertainty and emotional complexity, which become a catalyst for her work.
Drawing on the history and culture of Hokkaido, Shindo investigates themes such as modern history, natural resources, infrastructure, colonialism, and migration. Through fieldwork, archival research, and the organization of collected materials, she examines the invisible histories, memories, and human activities embedded within places.
Collaborations, social interventions, and participatory situations often form part of her process, allowing projects to be shaped by others and by circumstance. Through these encounters, her work develops in unexpected directions beyond her individual perspective.
進藤冬華は、リサーチを基盤とした実践を行っている。社会やグローバルな構造のなかで生じる、目に見えない力学や現象、スペクタクルに関心を寄せ、それらとの遭遇によって生じる戸惑いや複雑な感情を制作の原動力としている。
北海道の歴史や文化への関心を起点に、近現代史、自然資源、インフラストラクチャー、植民地主義、移住などを主題として扱う。フィールドワークやリサーチ、収集した資料の整理と考察を通じて、土地に埋め込まれた見えない歴史や記憶、人々の営みにアプローチしてきた。
また、コラボレーションや参加型の状況を実践に取り入れ、他者や環境との関わりのなかでプロジェクトを展開する。そうした予期せぬ出会いや出来事によって生まれる力学は、作品を個人の視点を超えた方向へと導いていく。
